Bill Brody
Gold Award - Art
My work represents what it is like to be in some particular place. In the case of my entries, that place is based on introspection. Conversation portrays paranoia. Thawing Spirit portrays my sense of coming out of a period of depression into a new and frightening world.
I've known that I would be an artist since I was 15. In the succeeding 65 years I have explored a range of media from a fairly exhaustive mastery of printmaking to wood and metal sculpture to virtual reality programming to painting extremely large works on location in remote wilderness locations in Alaska. I'm not done yet.
