The frontal lobe has to do with movement, expressive language, and higher-level functions. This lobe is for planning, organizing, and control of responses to reach a goal, all higher cognitive skills. Functions that are controlled from here are memory, ability to socialize, problem-solving, and initiating motor activity - the thought before the movement. This lobe needs to function fully function normally

In this work, the choice of mixed media and complex images are scattered over the work to provide an impression of memory and the complexity of all the functions of that part of the brain.

Ingrid has been a finalist in several important art competitions, such as Thami Mnyele (2018, 2019, 2021) and SASOL New Signatures (2018). She achieved a visual art degree at UNISA, as well as several other professional degrees, one of which in physiotherapy. She specialized in neurological rehabilitation. For her conceptual art she prefers to do three-dimensional work and textile art, and uses techniques such as weaving and embroidery, often in combination with found objects. Expressive clothing and knitting wearable exclusive garments and accessories, bonsai, and singing are part of her creative activities. Furthermore, she supervises and also acts as an external international examiner of M and PhD/D students of Business Management. Ingrid holds provincial colors as SA swimming master in her belief of keeping mind and body active to continue a balanced lifestyle.
