Nancy Dale Alterman

Having found my artistic voice 17 years ago, I now love creating pieces that depict the joy I feel. I donate and gift almost everything I create which brings me such pleasure. I have raised money for a variety of nonprofits through my work which is so very satisfying!

Being diagnosed with bipolar illness at 18 has been quite a challenge. It runs in our family and we, unfortunately, lost our sister, Judy to the same illness in 1978. I didn’t find my footing until having had incredibly successful ECT treatments when I was 55 years old. Not only did it bring out the tremendous joy of life, but also a wonderful artistic talent I NEVER knew I had…or had never even attempted to try. My life was about sports..not art! I now love photography, collage, and pen and ink drawings. I do combine all three in many pieces!
