Within my brain, there is a maniac. A relentless, ruthless maniac. This little creature slithers its way out of my mind into the physical realm – in the form of skin picking. It’s no longer just mental scars, as the wounds show on my face, chest, and legs. If this maniac wants to exist in the real world, then so does my art. I will take control.

Alexis Johnson is an aspiring artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been drawing ever since she can remember and recently delved into the world of digital art. Her biggest inspiration came from her elementary school art teacher in Illinois, Mrs. Gatenby. She supported Lexi in and out of the classroom and taught her how to express herself.
