I have experienced several genealogical issues during my lifetime involving colposcopy and polyp removal which have involved minor surgery. This is not something I have shared openly in the past and is usually something I prefer to keep ‘Hidden’. I have also been touched by friends and family who have had to deal with much more serious conditions than myself. Cancer has been and continues to be a scary thing to face. Thankfully we are getting better at discovering, identifying, and fighting it.
Kim Barrey aka Kim M Artist has been exploring and developing her creative talents in a number of exciting directions. Her work sometimes takes her down a different path than she had originally intended, experimenting with different mediums and sometimes mixing more than one to get to her final result. At times she creates one piece of art which she then deliberately ‘ruptures’ to create two distinctive works that are forever linked, regardless of where they are displayed around the world. She describes her approach to creating art as a form of osmosis where ideas and concepts bleed into each other throughout the creative journey. Describing herself as a ‘Fluid Artist’, Kim has finally been able to fulfill her ambition of creating art full-time and hopes that her approach will help inspire others to follow their passions and begin their own journey of discovery in art and creative photography
