My art transmits the human capacity of women. I touch on the theme of gender freedom as well as woman’s will to overcome herself before society and to recognize it... In “Reborn” I transmit nature and its fragility, which is why “Karen” is secluded in an environment of flora and fauna.
Born and raised in Cuba, Alexis Larrinaga has always shown an innate affection towards the Arts. He enjoys working with colors, textures, styles, and diverse methods, including plastic arts, sketching, cartooning, leather, woodwork, graphic art and design; as well as acrylic and oil Paintings. Alexis is always exploring all the different ways in which he can express his unique perspective of the world.
At age 19, Alexis and his family migrated to the Dominican Republic, where he worked as a freelance cartoonist for several publications and company events. Alexis obtained his associate’s in Arts, Crafts, and Plastic Arts at the Instituto Politécnico Pablo de la Torrente Brau, in Havana, Cuba. In 2010, he started a new life in USA. Since that moment, he has always grown up in the art world. Artist and Muralist.
