Marek Sutkowski
I seek deeper than visual representation. The simple visual copy of the real motive is not my goal, the theme is. I see my work as improper for the main trends in visual art, especially in modern photography. I am an abstract thinker of knowledge, individual freedom, a specific type of humor, faith, hopeless belief in goodness and the burden of misunderstanding.
Marek Sutkowski achieved a Ph.D. in 2003 at Politechnika Warszawska at the Faculty of Mechatronics for work regarding the use of digital holography in multimedia techniques. He developed one of the world's first methods of optoelectronic reconstruction of digitally stored micro interferograms. Since 2006, he has been working at the Warsaw University of Technology at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology. During work, he deals with issues related to image registration and the application of photographic techniques and methods of specialised image processing in technical, multimedia and artistic applications.
