Lucy Nguyen

Kintsugi, the traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with lacquer infused with metals like gold, inspires my 3D artwork. This method highlights the aesthetic of healing but also the resilience born from embracing flaws. The gold running through the Earth symbolizes our global efforts to combat climate change, suggesting that through collective endeavor, we can transform damage into strength and beauty. This process both preserves and beautifies, underscoring human ingenuity in overcoming adversity. Set against the vast emptiness of space, the piece reminds us of our solitude in the universe and the responsibility we bear in healing our planet.

My name is Lucy, and I'm a Canadian artist who enjoys exploring various artistic mediums, from 3D and digital art to traditional painting. I cherish the opportunity to express my thoughts creatively and dedicate my spare time to producing artwork that ignites meaningful discussions and mirrors my worldview. As I continue to evolve as an artist, I actively engage with the community, drawing inspiration from the diverse voices, stories, and artworks it offers. I aspire to keep creating for the entirety of my life, constantly contributing to the rich tapestry of our artistic heritage.
