Hayden Monteith
This work explores the balance of a Christ-centered community while confronting the harm caused by gossip. Inspired by my prayer on Ephesians 4:29, this series reflects the impact of our words. Words can build trust or tear it apart. In my five-color screen print, I depict two girls in a dorm room caught mid-conversation symbolizing the secrecy and ease of gossip in private spaces. Transparent layers of cyan, magenta, yellow, lavender, and black represent the complexity of communication. Just as the layers intertwine, our words shape relationships. I invite you to reflect: are your words building up or breaking down?
